A clean hull
Properly tuned engine(s)
Lower your running RPM's (don't hammer down all day long!!)
Correctly pitched / undamaged propeller
Outdrive / Transmission service (keep them "in tune" also)
Steady flow from stopped to "on plane" (just like your car,
dont "peel out")
Don't run around with your bimini top up (this is like
pulling a parachute)
Have a plan of attack, Don't boat endlessly. Cove out, go
to two or three spots, plan your day.
